Terms and conditions*

All rates are in Australian Dollars (AUD) and include GST. Fleet/vessel details, conditions and prices, were correct at time of publishing and are subject to change without notice. A 1.5% surcharge applies to all card transactions. Please check our website for current rates and special offers.

All Charters

Payment Terms

A deposit of $1000 is payable to confirm bookings. After 7 days the deposit is non-refundable. The balance of the charter fee is payable ninety (90) days prior to charter start date. 

Cancellation Fees

• A full refund of the $1,000 deposit will be provided if a booking is cancelled within 7 days of paying the deposit.
• If a booking is cancelled 120+ days outside of commencement, a $250 admin fee applies.
• If a booking is cancelled 119 – 91 days prior to charter, the full deposit will be forfeited.
• If a booking is cancelled inside 90 days prior to charter, no refund will be given unless a substitute booking is obtained on that vessel over the same period. In the case of a substitute booking, the payment will be refunded less $1,000. 

* A cancellation is the “Charterer”, as defined by the Reference Schedule, making the Charter Contract void including date or vessel changes.

Environmental Management Charge (EMC)

An Environmental Management Charge (EMC) applies to each visitor entering the marine park. The total fee is $39 per person including the EMC, payable prior to entering the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park. 

Insurance Damage Waiver

A non-refundable damage waiver of $60 per night is charged to cover loss or damage to the vessel (excluding groundings) or its inventory.

Grounding Security Bond

A $3,000 grounding bond will be pre-authorised on the nominated card of the charterer or crew at check-in on the day of departure. After the vessel is returned, a contracted diver will inspect the hull. If the inspection confirms no hull damage and there are no outstanding charges, the pre-authorisation will be released within 5–7 days of your charter. If there is evidence of grounding or any outstanding monies, applicable charges will be processed.

Vessel Fuel

Fuel used is to be paid for on completion of charter.

Travel Insurance 

For travel during December – April, we highly recommend you take out adequate travel insurance for cover in the event of a cyclone. 

Public Holiday Surcharges

An additional surcharge will be applicable for services provided on public holidays including Stay Aboards ($100), Briefings ($200), and 100% increased daily rates for Sail Guides, Skippers and Hosts.

Outboard Fuel and LPG Gas

A flat rate of $35 per charter is applied for outboard fuel used for your tender and also the LPG (gas) used for the stove/ BBQ. 

Cruising Area

All vessels are subject to operational area limits. These limits are, NORTH to George Point including Hayman Island. EAST to Harold Island including Border Island. SOUTH to Cape Conway including the North Western side of Shaw Island. Area limits may be amended based on weather conditions.

Charter Briefings 

Briefings commence at 8:30am for charters starting at Coral Sea Marina. You will be automatically scheduled for an 8.30am briefing unless your arrival time does not allow this. For briefings at Hamilton Island the vessel will be delivered by 11am or to coincide with your arrival time. Please note there is an additional charge of $965 to pickup and/or return vessels to any place other than Coral Sea Marina.
